be nimble

I’m not the same person today that I was 15 years ago.  While this statement isn’t very brilliant, it is very important that we give each other the space and honor to change and grow.  Sometimes, it can be really easy to fall into a rut with people and treat them the way we have always treated them.  For example, even though I’m in my mid-40s, I have people who still call me “kid” &  I’m sure that they intend this to be a compliment – that I’m youthful.  But if we’re not careful, we can treat people as if they don’t change.  Let’s give each other the benefit of the doubt that we are growing, changing and acting more like Jesus with each passing day 🙂
